Sugar puffs.

Apologies for the lack of updates on my journal as well as my ever-pending cosplays. I'm currently busy with full time work as well as packing away for a new, eventful life in the UK while pursuing higher education. So yes, do expect even MORE lack of updates as I shall be busy with stepping and settling into the wonderful, perplex world of uni.

I do hope I can things back on track once the whole shebang's over. I really am looking forward for taking seasonal photo shoots as well as trying out new cosplays.

I'm feeling incredibly happy right now.

Yes. My application was successful and I am IN. I shall be flying off to UK this September!
Argh, the wait was nerve-wrecking. You could not believe how gobsmacked I was when I received a call from the Ministry three days ago in the morning. I almost died of happiness on the spot then. I attended the briefing two days ago and phew, was my head spinning. It felt really surreal then, sitting amongst all these students who have been granted scholarships. Nevertheless, I feel extremely blessed and thankful that my prayers have been answered. Ah, words can't describe how unbelievably happy I am right now. Perhaps 'elated' would be right, or even 'I'm feeling over the moon'. But, heck, it was remarkable that I didn't cry that day.

As such, with such good news comes much more work. Yep. It seems my schedule has become much more tighter as I have loads of things to sort out and do in order to prepare for a new life in UK. Three years seems like an awfully long time, no?

I feel really annoyed, what with how all my cosplays just keep pending and pending. Goodness, 2009 is a really busy year for me. I wonder if I would be able to cosplay during my years in uni. A double degree (subjects which are both require loads and loads of reading) in three years? I hope I could manage to. It'll be a pity if I didn't. The place I'm going to is full of beautiful scenery, especially with the four seasons passing by. Kyaa. I'm feeling giddy with the thought of touching snow again! ^^

Oh yes. UK, here I come~!

Sorry for the lack of updates. It's because I've been incredibly busy lately - I can't believe I'm still standing.

:Life:

The good news is I've recently sat for my scholarship interview (which was incredibly nerve-wrecking - Mrs. Interviewer didn't smile during the session until towards the end when I stupidly blurted some nonsense that was neither English or Malay...it was probably butchered French dipped in a gooey goop of Japanese and Korean ) and now I'm trying my best to relieve all the stress that has accumulated for the past 6-7 months. So far, all I've done is lounge around in front of the telly, watching KHR box sets and spoiling myself silly with junk (aka anime). I should really get working on my cosplays now that I'm practically free but the problem lies with...CASH and materials. Plus, now my parents are pressuring me with early preparation for studying overseas. It's almost as if they're SURE I'm going to. Ah, sugar plums. They're really making me nervous. D8 I pray everyday, hoping my wish would be granted. UK, I'm coming~!

:Cosplays:

I really, really , really want to perfect my schooluniform!Tsuna cosplay. I've got most of his outfit already. All that's left are his lovely orange sneakers. Oh, and a pair of contacts. I noticed how terribly short-sighted I'm gradually becoming - oh the horror. Is it really possible to brighten your eyes with mountains of carrots? Jumpsuit!Tsuna is on the way too. I simply need a potential area for a photoshoot.
The next cosplay I'd like to try out would probably be Spanner. I've got the jumpsuit and the wig. All that's left is to sew some blue material on the hem of the sleeves and pants, a pair of blue contacts and the tattoo on his neck (which look a little to tricky to draw...phooey).
Wolfram shall be postponed due to the many problems I face trying to style my wig and my lack of cash to buy and tailor-make his OVA outfit.

I recently bought myself a new wig - a short black one. The first thing that came to my mind was Hibari Kyouya but the more I looked at it, the more it seemed to resemble to Yuuri Shibuya's hair. So...honestly, I don't know what becomes of this wig. I was thinking of dyeing it blue so I could try cosplaying as Simon from Gurren Laggan...but then...hm. I'll see what I can do.

(1) I am more fluent in my second language (which is English) rather than my own mother tongue - and for the past 18 years, I feel incredibly guilty about it. D8

(2) I am self-proclaimed boy. And I enjoy crossdressing 24/7 (in spite of the endless threats my mum makes about throwing woks at me whenever she sees me walking around in boy get-ups)

(3) I am a full-time fujoshi (BL/yaoi fanatic). Oh yesh, BL is a drug to me. <3

(4) I tend to call to myself a 'blank page', not because I'm an incredibly dull person to talk with but most of the time, people always complain with the fact that I'm "difficult to read". In spite of giving off a 'WHAT-THE-HELL-DO-YOU-WANT-STAY-AWAY-FROM-ME-YOU-TROUBLESOME-PERSON-OR-I'LL-BITE-YOUR-HEAD-OFF' aura (which is unintentional - I have a serious face and because of this, people tend to label me as an arrogant jerk when in truth, I'm actually ridiculously shy), I'm keen on meeting and befriending new people.

(5) I hate seafood with a PASSION. Although, SUSHI is an exception - which is odd.

(6) I'm a CONTROL freak. Everything has to be 'controlled' with me - especially my emotions. I tend to squash my emotions, especially to suit the time and people I'm with because I have this aversion to burdening others (I really don't know why).

(7) I have a Pikachu doll whom I strangely named 'Brian' and he's been with me for about 10 years. I still cuddle him to sleep!

(8) I like to watch the washing machine spin as it washes my clothes. I find it relaxing, colourful...and it makes me smile.

Phew. It's been some time since I touched this journal. I've been busy with a few things and I've also been catching up with a few old friends through FB. Huh, who would have thought the internet could do such remarkable wonders... (note: I'm a techno-dinosaur, how sad is that? )

-Life-
As of the late, I've been pressured by my parents (especially my dad) to prepare for an interview for a scholarship. Honestly, I don't freak out way to much on interviews. The only thing that makes me drop dead like a hyperventilated fish is the fact that the interview shall be conducted in MALAY. It's my mother tongue but... T_T I can't speak it fluently! - nyeh, how disgraceful is that? And heaven forbid, what sort of questions would they ask me during the interview? I hope they won't start asking me to name every single government head in the country (because they have ridiculously long titles)! Argh, I just hope I survive and snag that scholarship. I'm eager to study in UK, dammit! Well, fingers crossed and pray that I'll get there.
Oh, spittle-tee-boo. I'm turning 18 soon! Gosh, suddenly I feel old.

-Cosplays-
I've been pending my cosplays because I lack the necessary cash and opportunities to purchase heaps of ingredients that are needed to string together my planned cosplays. Plus, I'm also in search of a photographer who would willingly take me everywhere across the country and indulge in lengthy sessions of camerawhoring in "ridiculous get-ups" that cause passer-bys to stare rudely. M-hmm, cosplays are still seen as 'abnormal' here which is...very difficult. However, last week, I've just returned from a short-haul trip to Sabah so I was extremely happy to purchase myself a dark green jumpsuit for only $30+ When I saw it, I remembered mentioning that she'd like to do KHR Jumpsuit version cosplay. I was a bit bummed that orange wasn't available - only khaki yellow and this snazzy black-and-white striped one. But never mind, I got the jumpsuit anyway. Oh yesh. So a trial shot of Tsuna Jumpsuit ver. may be uploaded soon once I borrow (read: kidnap) someone to take a few photos of me.

-Fanfiction-
After reading a good amount of delectable Kai-Yami scorching hot chemistry from the uberly-awesome prideshipper, Toxic Hathor, I am now back into fangasming over those two soulmates whom I both oh so totally adore since I first watched YGO. In addition, I am now back into writing yet once again and am currently one segment from finishing the ninth chapter of my prideshipping fic. If I'm incredibly inspired and motivated, I might finish and upload it by the end of this week on ff.net. Alongside this, I'm also working on a lengthy FFVII one-shot called Peppermint which is exclusively Zack/Cloud. So yes, if I do feel extremely inspired, this fic could be uploaded on ff.net in the near future, possibly in a few weeks or so, depending on my time and energy. And my accessibility to the net.

-Drawing Days-
Upon crashing against my bookshelf, a sketchbook slipped out and I was delightfully surprised to find all my old attempts of drawing YGO fanart as well as my own OC characters. It was really strange to see, how I had this fondness towards drawing Yami and Yugi with unruly auburn spikes rather than the unusual proud flares of black and red - I guess I was too lazy to put in details. And I also noticed I tend to draw the characters with tall, lean and gangling - kind of like CLAMP's Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE. I wonder why...
Muuu...looking at the sketchbook makes me want to cry with embarrassment and pride. I even attempted to draw a doujinishi of a discontinued prideshipping fic, especially the scene where Kaiba and Yami meet one another at a coffee store. Ah, great times. I wonder if I can still draw...?
